At US$35, this is a genuine bargain: it sits well below the comparable-listing 25th percentile of US$41 and under the US$48 median. Even allowing for its age, the price leaves useful room for a replacement cable or other small accessory without approaching typical market money.
The NX1 is a compact, capable portable amp with low output impedance, clean output, switchable gain, and a useful bass-boost option; it can add drive to demanding headphones while remaining easy to stack with a player. Check that the rechargeable battery still holds a charge, the volume control is quiet, and the 3.5 mm inputs are sound. Included USB charging cable, interconnect, bands, or Velcro improve the package, but at US$35 the amplifier itself is the opportunity.
