For sale are two 1.25 m Moon C19 20A power cables. They were used with my Goldmund Telos 4800s and are now surplus, as I’ve upgraded to ultra-high-end cables to match the Goldmunds. Price for a quick sale.
At A$350, this is a strong deal by the listing data: it sits well below the A$738 25th-percentile asking price and far below the A$2,119 median for comparable used items. Even allowing for the unknown condition, the price leaves considerable room if the cable is genuine and electrically sound.
The worthwhile angle is its proper C19/20A termination, making it suitable for high-current equipment with a matching C20 inlet rather than ordinary IEC gear. A 1.25 m length is practical for most racks, and Moon-branded accessories generally appeal to owners wanting a consistent, well-finished setup. Before buying, confirm the Australian mains plug, inspect the jacket and connectors for damage or looseness, and verify that your component actually accepts C19; otherwise, this looks like an easy low-risk punt at the money.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Moon by Simaudio traces its roots to 1980, when Victor Sima, an audio engineer who emigrated from Israel to Canada, founded Sima Electronique in Quebec with a deliberate mission to craft superior-sounding audio products at accessible prices. Initially targeting professionals, the brand quickly won over audiophiles for its value and sonic excellence. Sima retired in 1994, selling to Jean Poulin, whose leadership elevated the company; by the late 1990s, the premium MOON series emerged from the successful Celeste line, embodying innovation and engineering precision while remaining privately held for unwavering control.
The brand specializes in high-performance electronics, excelling in integrated and power amplifiers, preamplifiers, DACs, and streaming solutions that prioritize musicality and build quality. Hand-assembled in-house with custom chassis and rigorous burn-in testing, MOON products span reference-grade separates to all-in-one systems like the ACE, alongside multi-channel AV amplifiers. While not venturing into speakers, turntables, headphones, or cables, their focus on pure analog and digital playback delivers cosmic precision and futuristic design.
Positioned firmly in the high-end market, Moon by Simaudio commands respect among discerning buyers for its clear, natural sound that makes music visceral rather than tweaky. Exported to 45 countries with accolades from Stereophile and The Absolute Sound, it rejects mass-market compromises, offering approachable luxury that bridges specialist hi-fi with broader appeal—vibrantly successful today as a Canadian benchmark for uncompromising performance.
