Ex-display aavik u-588 amplifier with built-in streamer and dac, in near-new condition. 300w pc power. exceptional build and sound quality. list price is 30,000. price excludes shipping. international buyers can benefit from vat deduction. bank transfer only.
Are you looking for a serious one-box system rather than separate streamer, DAC, preamp and power amplifier? At £13,000, this is a strong deal: it sits below the £13,430 25th-percentile figure from seven recent comparable listings, and well under the £14,395 median. Excellent condition at this level makes the asking price particularly attractive.
The U-588 is a genuinely capable all-in-one, combining a very good DAC and streamer with a powerful 300W-per-channel amplifier, while keeping the signal path and system complexity under control. It is known for a detailed, fluid, neutral presentation and enough authority for demanding speakers, with USB handling high-resolution PCM and DSD128. Check that the remote, power cable and original packaging are included, but there is no obvious price-related reason to hesitate: this looks like a proper buying opportunity.

Aavik Acoustics, a Danish ultra-high-end audio brand, emerged from the visionary partnership of founders Lars Kristensen and Michael Børresen, who first collaborated over two decades ago. These industry veterans established Aavik alongside sister brands Ansuz, Børresen, and Axxess under the Audio Group Denmark umbrella in late 2020, sharing a unified philosophy rooted in noise reduction, signal purity, and lifelike musical flow. The name Aavik, evoking a "small bay" in Danish, embodies this pursuit of clarity and natural dynamics.
The brand specializes in premium electronics, including integrated and power amplifiers, preamplifiers, DACs, phono stages, and streamers, all engineered with cutting-edge techniques like active Tesla coils and analog dither circuits to conquer electronic and mechanical noise. Available in escalating tiers—180, 280, and 580 series—each level advances construction and sonic refinement, prioritizing silence as the foundation for authentic sound reproduction. Handmade in Denmark, these components eschew speakers, headphones, or turntables, focusing instead on amplification and digital playback mastery.
Positioned firmly in the ultra-high-end market, Aavik commands respect among discerning audiophiles for its black-velvet backgrounds, explosive dynamics, and uncolored musicality, often defying conventional engineering norms. Reviewers praise its entry-level 180 line for setting lofty benchmarks, while top models like the I-588 deliver experiential immersion that transcends mere listening, cementing Aavik's status as a boutique leader in Danish high-end precision.
