At €995, this is hard to benchmark because “Ansuz” does not identify a specific model, and Ansuz pricing spans roughly €1,200 for entry-level Mainz8 X3 units to many thousands for higher-tier cables, switches, and distributors. Against the comparable listings, it is clearly above the €601 median and €738 75th percentile, so it is ambitious unless this is a substantial or desirable model.
The worthwhile angle is that Ansuz builds genuinely well-regarded high-end power, network, cable, and resonance-control products, often with strong construction and niche appeal. Before considering the price, establish the exact model, generation, length or configuration, and what accessories or packaging are included; those details can radically change value. With the title and condition unspecified, there is no basis to call €995 a buying opportunity yet—ask for clear photos, model markings, and proof of original specification.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Ansuz Acoustics emerged from Denmark's storied audio heritage in 2012, founded by industry veterans Lars Kristensen and Michael Børresen. Drawing inspiration from the Nordic rune Ansuz—symbolizing wisdom—the duo launched the brand after Kristensen, weary from two decades in cables, was captivated by Børresen's revolutionary concepts for reducing signal distortion. Their shared vision addressed conventional cables' shortcomings, like inductance, mechanical instability, and noise, which they believed compressed musical authenticity. Rooted in Denmark's century-long dominance in hi-fi, from Peter L. Jensen's pioneering loudspeaker to modern innovations, Ansuz embodies a relentless pursuit of sonic purity.
The brand specializes in premium cables and noise-control solutions, including signal, power, and speaker cables, alongside power distributors, grounding devices, streaming accessories, and resonance control products like DARKz footers and SPARKz. These components target unwanted vibrations, electromagnetic interference, and signal degradation, employing advanced Tesla coil technologies to enhance clarity, dynamics, and flow. Ansuz forms the foundational layer for high-end systems, complementing sister brands Aavik and Børresen in Audio Group Denmark's ecosystem.
Positioned firmly in the ultra-high-end market, Ansuz commands respect among discerning audiophiles for its boutique engineering and transformative impact. Owners praise generational upgrades, like the 2-series cables, for elevating already elite performance. This niche leader prioritizes emotional, uncolored reproduction, making it indispensable for buyers seeking the pinnacle of hi-fi realism.
