The mINT is an older design rather than a current-generation product, but that timing does not hurt this price: £599 sits exactly at the median of the three recent comparables, comfortably within the normal £486–£699 range. It is a fair used-market price, not a bargain, and the unknown condition means the listing needs to earn it.
Its appeal is the unusually capable all-in-one format: roughly 100W per channel into 8 ohms, a useful ESS-based DAC, analogue inputs, headphone output, remote control and proper preamp flexibility. It remains a tidy way to build a compact system without compromising much drive or connectivity. Check that the remote, USB/coaxial/optical inputs and both channels work properly, and confirm the mains voltage, but there is no material pricing red flag at £599 if it is clean and fully functional.

Wyred 4 Sound emerged in late 2007 from Atascadero, California, founded by EJ Sarmento, who honed his expertise at Cullen Circuits alongside industry veteran Rick Cullen. Sarmento launched the company to spearhead innovative designs, drawing on his background with respected names like PS Audio and Genesis Technologies. This American heritage underscores a commitment to pushing boundaries in high-performance audio without the constraints of larger corporate structures.
The brand excels in Class D amplifiers powered by ICEpower modules from Bang & Olufsen, delivering compact, efficient, and smooth-sounding monoblocks and integrated amps like the STI-500 and ST-1000. It also offers acclaimed DACs such as the DAC-2, music servers like the MS-1 with customizable SSD storage and versatile streaming, plus headphone amps, USB reclocker accessories for noise reduction, and ISO recovery units. Direct sales keep these components accessible while prioritizing differential circuitry for superior clarity and low noise floors.
Wyred 4 Sound holds a strong niche in the high-end boutique market, favored by audiophiles for affordable excellence that rivals pricier competitors. Reviewers praise its dynamic range, refined mids, and "Wyred sound" signature—tight bass, open staging, and startling accuracy—positioning it as a disruptor among discerning buyers seeking value-driven innovation over flashy branding.
