Offered is „SoTM SPS-500 Special Edition with Statement DC cable“ by SOtM as second-hand device from the category „Power supplies / power supply“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 5139454158 ends on 21.12.2026 at 15:47 o'clock.
€600 is a fair-to-good price, sitting just above the €556 median but well below the €1,101 75th percentile for comparable used examples. It is not a bargain by the database—those below €314 earn that label—but the Special Edition and included Statement DC cable make the asking price defensible if both are genuine and in good order.
The sPS-500 is a flexible, serious linear-style supply for compatible digital components, with selectable 7, 9, 12, and 19 V output, up to 50 W, and useful protection circuitry. Its appeal is clean, stable power for SOtM streamers, USB devices, and similar gear, while the upgraded cable adds meaningful system-matching value over a bare unit. Before buying, confirm the cable’s connector and voltage compatibility with your component; otherwise, this looks like a sensible enthusiast purchase rather than an obvious steal.

SOtM, standing for Soul of the Music, hails from South Korea, where it emerged as a specialist in digital audio solutions. While exact founding details remain elusive in public records, the brand has built its heritage on a Korean engineering ethos, prioritizing precision and innovation in network audio. A U.S. offshoot, Artiz in Lynwood, Washington, handles distribution, extending SOtM's reach from its Seoul roots.
The company focuses on niche digital streaming and optimization products, including network players like the sMS-200 series (such as the Neo and Ultra models), external power supplies like the sPS-500, USB hubs like the tx-USB Ultra, and specialized cables such as the color-tuned iSO-CAT7 Ethernet links. These components emphasize ultra-clean power, precision clocks, and noise reduction, outputting via USB to external DACs while supporting high-resolution formats up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD256. Amplifiers, speakers, or analog gear fall outside their scope.
SOtM occupies a boutique niche in the high-end hi-fi market, revered by audiophiles for delivering pure, immersive sound that uncovers musical details often lost in conventional streamers. Its multi-product ecosystem appeals to serious digital enthusiasts seeking refined, natural playback, positioning it as a go-to for system tweaks rather than mass-market appeal.
