The Muse MU-15 is a compact TA2024-based Class-D mini amplifier rather than a conventional full-size integrated, and £38 looks like a strong deal if this is the correct model. Comparable new pricing has historically been modest, while second-hand Muse amplifiers commonly sit around this level or below; at £38, it is attractive provided the unit is complete and working.
Its appeal is the small footprint, low heat, clean, lively presentation and surprisingly capable output for desktop or efficient-speaker systems. The TA2024 design is best suited to nearfield listening and reasonably sensitive speakers, not demanding low-impedance loads or large rooms. Check that the power supply is included, both channels work without crackle, and the input and volume controls behave properly; otherwise, this is a worthwhile low-risk buy rather than an amplifier to overthink.

Muse Audio is an obscure name in hi-fi, and the clearest match appears to be Muse HiFi, a young audio brand that emerged in 2022 and is associated with China rather than a long-standing Western hi-fi heritage. Its background reads more like a modern specialist start-up than a legacy marque, and no widely established founder story is consistently documented.
Its product focus is tightly centered on personal audio: portable DAC/amps, headphone amplifiers, and IEMs, with a strong emphasis on compact, feature-rich designs and tube/transistor hybrid styling. It is not known as a maker of traditional full-size hi-fi staples like floorstanding speakers, turntables, or mainstream home amplifiers.
In market terms, Muse HiFi sits in the affordable-to-mid-tier niche rather than true high-end. The brand seems aimed at enthusiasts who want distinctive engineering and bold industrial design at accessible prices, making it more of a value-driven boutique competitor than an established audiophile heavyweight.
