This looks like a fair ask, sitting just above the recent used-market median: €2,900 versus a €2,743 median, with the comparable range running from €2,429 to €2,993. It is not a bargain, but it remains within the normal market band and below the 75th-percentile €2,993 level, so the price is defensible if condition and completeness are strong.
The Le DAC is a serious, flexible converter with USB, coaxial, optical and AES/EBU inputs, balanced and single-ended outputs, and support for high-resolution PCM and DSD. Its appeal is less about sterile specification chasing than its energetic, spacious presentation, tight bass and especially convincing timing and transient definition. At €2,900, check for the original remote, packaging and power cord, and confirm every input and output works; with those in order, this is a sensible high-end purchase rather than an inflated listing.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Metronome Technologie is an obscure French high-end audio brand with limited verifiable public information available. No confirmed details on its founding year, country of origin, or notable founders appear in reliable sources, preventing a precise account of its heritage. It may represent a niche boutique effort in hi-fi, but without documentation, its history remains untraceable.
Product categories are equally undocumented in accessible records, offering no evidence of focus on amplifiers, speakers, turntables, DACs, headphones, cables, or similar components. This absence suggests it is not a prominent player in established hi-fi directories or reviews.
In the market, Metronome Technologie holds no clear reputation or positioning—neither high-end mainstay, mid-tier contender, vintage collector's item, nor recognized boutique. Knowledgeable buyers should approach with caution, as facts cannot be verified with confidence; further primary research from manufacturer contacts may be needed.
