This is a fair ask, sitting almost exactly on the used-market median of €307. At €305, it is well within the normal range: below the 75th-percentile €360 but not the bargain territory below €256. “Excellent” condition makes the price sensible, assuming the listing reflects genuinely clean cosmetics and healthy battery performance.
AirPods Max remain a compelling buy for Apple users, with excellent sound, class-leading ANC, superb Transparency mode, strong call quality, and seamless switching between Apple devices. Spatial Audio is a worthwhile bonus for films and compatible music. The metal construction feels premium, though the headphones are notably heavy, and roughly 20 hours of ANC battery life is merely adequate rather than exceptional. At this price, verify the cushions, charging behavior, headband mesh, and included case/cable; otherwise, this looks like a solid, well-priced opportunity rather than a steal.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Apple Inc. traces its origins to April 1, 1976, when Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, along with Ronald Wayne, founded the company in the Jobs family garage in Cupertino, California. What began as a modest venture to build personal computers evolved into a tech powerhouse, with early forays into audio via the 2001 launch of iTunes and the iconic iPod portable music player.
In the hi-fi realm, Apple focuses on integrated consumer audio solutions rather than traditional separates like amplifiers, turntables, or DACs. The company is renowned for wireless speakers such as the short-lived iPod Hi-Fi (2006-2007) and the more advanced HomePod series, alongside premium headphones including AirPods and AirPods Max. These products emphasize seamless ecosystem integration, portability, and digital streaming over analog purism.
Apple holds a dominant position in the premium consumer audio market, blending high-end aspirations with mass-market accessibility. While not a staple among traditional hi-fi purists—who often critique its closed ecosystem and past efforts like the iPod Hi-Fi as underwhelming—its products command loyalty for sonic refinement, computational audio processing, and design excellence, positioning it as a mid-to-high-tier contender for savvy buyers prioritizing convenience over boutique esoterica.
