B&O MMC-20EN CartridgeThis cartridge came off of a Beogram 3400 turntable which, sadly, is beyond repair. We were able to test the cartridge, though, and it works perfectly.Tested and workingComes with plastic stylus guard as shown. In the Milwaukee Area? All the gear we sell is packaged with great care for safe arrival in the condition advertised and backed up by our 14 day full refund policy in the event you are not happy for any reason.
Are you getting a genuinely tested original, or simply an old cartridge with an optimistic description? At USD 250, this looks like a strong deal if the stylus is healthy: original MMC 20EN examples are scarce, discontinued, and specialist-retailer pricing is around USD 690 new, while comparable used examples commonly land well above this asking price.
The MMC 20EN is the desirable factory fit for top Beogram 4002/4004 decks, using B&O’s low-mass moving-iron design and nude elliptical stylus. It offers excellent tracking and the clean, composed presentation these turntables are known for. The key is proof of condition: ask for a clear stylus photo, channel-balance or playback confirmation, and the original guard or case if available. With credible “lightly used” history, USD 250 is a buying opportunity; untested, it remains attractive but should be treated as a gamble rather than a sure bargain.

Bang & Olufsen was founded on November 17, 1925, in Struer, Denmark, by engineers Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen. The company began in the attic of the Olufsen family manor, Quistrup, where the founders developed The Eliminator—a revolutionary device that allowed radios to operate from mains electricity rather than batteries. This innovation established B&O as a forward-thinking manufacturer and set the tone for nearly a century of technological advancement rooted in Danish design principles.
The brand is primarily known for premium audio and home entertainment systems, including high-fidelity receivers, radiograms, cassette recorders, and contemporary loudspeakers. B&O pioneered several category firsts: the world's first button-operated receiver in the 1930s and Europe's first cassette recorder, the Beocord-84U, in the 1950s. Today, the company manufactures integrated audio systems, wireless speakers, and headphones that blend acoustic engineering with sculptural industrial design.
Bang & Olufsen occupies the luxury segment of the audio market, positioned as a premium lifestyle brand rather than a specialist audiophile manufacturer. The company's reputation rests on its distinctive philosophy of merging form and function—treating audio equipment as crafted objects designed to enhance living spaces aesthetically. Recognized by the Museum of Modern Art in New York and maintained as a visionary enterprise for over a century, B&O appeals to discerning consumers who value Scandinavian design sensibility alongside sonic performance.
