£342 is an ambitious ask: it sits well above the £298 median and £309 75th-percentile asking price from eight recent comparable listings. Unless this is genuinely mint, complete, and unusually well-presented, there should be room to negotiate; around £300–£310 would look more market-aligned.
The DC ELITE remains a superb portable DAC/amp, with a clean, natural and highly resolving sound, unusually spacious imaging, and enough output to handle demanding headphones better than typical dongles. Its balanced 4.4mm output, stepped volume attenuator and premium build are real strengths, making it a worthwhile buy for someone wanting near-desktop performance from a USB-powered unit. At £342, however, verify that the case, cables and original packaging are included and that the volume control and both outputs are faultless.
