Compared with the usual gamble of buying an untested budget subwoofer, €50 is a strong bargain: it sits well below the €97 25th-percentile mark and far under the €154 median from 1,278 comparable listings. Even allowing for the vague model identification, this is an attractively low asking price rather than merely fair value.
Bose’s compact subwoofer systems are appealing when you want easy, room-friendly bass without building a separates rig, and they can work particularly well for desktop, bedroom, or small-room listening. At this money, the main upside is simple: a clean, fully working unit with its correct power and signal cables could add useful low-end weight for very little outlay. Before buying, confirm the exact model, test for hum, intermittent output, and distortion, and ensure the proprietary connections or accessories needed for your setup are included.

Bose Corporation traces its roots to 1964, when MIT professor Amar Gopal Bose founded the company in Natick, Massachusetts, after growing disillusioned with the poor performance of a high-end stereo system he purchased as a graduate student. Driven by a passion for replicating the immersive qualities of live music through rigorous acoustic research, Bose launched the venture with initial contracts for the U.S. military and NASA, emphasizing innovative speaker designs that prioritized indirect, reverberant sound over direct radiation. This American heritage, rooted in psychoacoustics and engineering excellence, has defined the brand's pursuit of "Better Sound Through Research."
Bose excels in consumer and professional audio categories, renowned for its home audio systems, premium speakers like the iconic 901 Series, and pioneering noise-canceling headphones first prototyped in the 1980s for pilots. The lineup extends to vehicle sound systems, portable Bluetooth speakers, and professional installations, but steers clear of niche hi-fi components such as amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, focusing instead on integrated, user-friendly solutions that blend advanced signal processing with spatial audio reproduction.
Positioned as a premium mid-tier powerhouse in the global market, Bose commands widespread appeal among discerning buyers seeking accessible high-performance audio without audiophile esoterica. Its reputation for innovation and reliability has built a loyal following, though purists occasionally critique its measured sound signature, cementing Bose as a dominant force in mainstream hi-fi rather than high-end boutique or vintage realms.
