The age matters: this is early-to-late-1980s Studio Standard gear, from Fisher’s budget-oriented Sanyo-era generation rather than the desirable classic Fisher period. At €120, it is a fair price, sitting just below the €133 median of 139 comparable listings—not a bargain, but comfortably within the normal market range.
Its appeal is mainly practical and aesthetic: these tuners can offer decent FM sensitivity, straightforward operation, and appealing period styling, especially when matched with the correct Fisher system components. However, the title does not identify the model, and Studio Standard tuners vary considerably; confirm the exact model, whether it has its own mains supply, and that FM stereo, tuning, presets, display, and outputs all work. At €120, complete operation and clean condition are important to justify the price.

Fisher is an American hi-fi name founded in 1945 in New York by Avery Fisher. In the vacuum-tube and early stereo era, The Fisher Radio Corporation built a strong reputation for carefully engineered, high-quality home audio gear and helped define what “hi-fi” meant to serious listeners in the 1950s and 1960s.
Historically, Fisher’s core products were amplifiers, receivers, tuners, and other home audio electronics rather than modern lifestyle categories like headphones, DACs, or cables. The brand was especially associated with tube amplifiers and stereo receivers, along with related components that brought higher-fidelity sound into mainstream living rooms.
Today, Fisher is best understood as a vintage-collector and heritage hi-fi brand rather than a current high-end market leader. Its classic equipment is respected among enthusiasts for its sound quality, build, and historical importance, while the brand itself has long since moved away from its original position as a premium American audio manufacturer.
