The Emit 20 is a notably capable standmount, and at €490 it is a genuine bargain: that sits below the €510 25th-percentile mark from 56 comparable listings, versus a €942 median and €1,694 75th percentile. For a clean pair, this is unusually strong value rather than merely a fair price.
Its appeal is the substantial 18 cm MSP mid/bass driver, refined Cerotar/Hexis tweeter, convincing scale, and unusually deep, controlled bass for a compact speaker. It also offers broad, easy-to-live-with presentation and sensible power handling, though a competent amplifier is still worthwhile. The excellent condition, original packaging, and invoice add practical reassurance and make this especially attractive for a buyer wanting a serious two-channel or home-cinema standmount without paying typical used-market money.

Dynaudio is a Danish loudspeaker manufacturer founded in 1977 in Skanderborg by acoustic engineers Wilfried Ehrenholz and Mark Thorup, alongside co-founder Ivan Scarning Geard. The company emerged from a conviction that off-the-shelf speakers of the era failed to reproduce music authentically. From its inception, Dynaudio has maintained vertical integration, designing and manufacturing its own drivers rather than sourcing components externally—a practice that remains central to the brand's identity and quality control.
The company specializes exclusively in loudspeakers and speaker systems across two primary markets: high-fidelity consumer audio and professional studio monitoring. Dynaudio's consumer division produces reference-grade speakers for discerning listeners, while its professional subsidiary, Dynaudio Acoustics, manufactures studio monitors installed in more than ten thousand recording studios worldwide. The brand has earned particular distinction as a reference monitor choice for BBC Radio & Music, underscoring its credibility in professional environments.
Dynaudio occupies the high-end segment of the audio market, positioning itself among premium manufacturers rather than mass-market producers. The brand's reputation rests on uncompromising engineering philosophy—prioritizing authentic driver design over superficial aesthetics—and consistent innovation in loudspeaker technology. Since its acquisition by Chinese electronics company Goertek in 2014, Dynaudio has maintained its Danish heritage and manufacturing practices while expanding its global reach. For knowledgeable buyers, Dynaudio represents a convergence of Scandinavian design sensibility, technical rigor, and professional-grade performance in the consumer hi-fi space.
