The DAC-Z8 is still a current-generation design rather than an obsolete model, so timing matters little here. At £364, though, this sits exactly at the top of your comparable market: the median is £349, with the 75th percentile at £364. That makes it fair rather than a bargain, and the unknown condition means it needs to be a particularly clean example to justify full asking price.
It remains a very capable buy when the condition is right: the ES9038PRO-based DAC offers clean, detailed sound, while balanced XLR, RCA, USB, optical, coaxial and Bluetooth connectivity make it unusually flexible. The built-in volume control and headphone amplifier also allow it to serve as a compact preamp or headphone rig. Check that the display, encoder, remote, power supply and original accessories are present; otherwise, a modest reduction would be sensible.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Eversolo Audio Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese brand backed by Zidoo Technology Co., Ltd., emerged in the mid-2010s with roots in seasoned HiFi expertise. Its core founding team brings years of experience in development and management across the industry, channeling that heritage into innovative audio solutions. Without a single standout founder, Eversolo draws strength from its collaborative R&D prowess, spanning audio decoding, analog circuits, acoustic tuning, amplifiers, and system integration.
The brand concentrates on digital HiFi essentials, excelling in network music streamers, high-resolution DACs, integrated amplifiers, and headphone amplifiers. Standouts like the DMP-A10 exemplify this focus, blending streaming versatility with premium digital-to-analog conversion and robust power amplification.
