Offered is „Exquisite Galileo 2.1“ by Kharma as second-hand device from the category „Standing Speaker“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 8710693694 ends on 23.12.2026 at 17:54 o'clock.
The timing matters: the Galileo has since returned in a newer 3.0 generation, so this 2.1 is the earlier version rather than the current design. At €24,300, it is clearly above the 18-listing median of €8,645 and above the €21,272 75th percentile, making it an ambitious ask rather than a standout used bargain.
The attraction is real: Galileo is the smaller, room-friendly Exquisite floorstander, combining Kharma’s highly regarded Diamond tweeter and Omega carbon-fibre drivers with unusually wide bandwidth and refined, effortless presentation. Its modest footprint can suit a serious but space-conscious system. Still, at this price I’d want exceptional, demonstrably original condition, complete stands and accessories, and ideally strong provenance; otherwise, the newer generation and the wider used-market spread leave too much value on the table.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Kharma International traces its roots to 1982, when Dutch audio visionary Charles van Oosterum launched Oosterum Luidspreker Systems (O.L.S. Audiotechnology) in Breda, the Netherlands, initially offering DIY speaker kits and prototypes born from his teenage experiments with salvaged radios. The company formally rebranded as Kharma in 1992, evolving from van Oosterum's lifelong pursuit of sonic perfection, with headquarters and production remaining in Breda to this day.
Kharma specializes in high-end loudspeakers and cables, channeling decades of innovation into meticulously crafted systems that prioritize driver technology, enclosure design, and signal purity. While not venturing into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or headphones, their speaker lines—from compact monitors to flagship floorstanders—integrate proprietary drivers and exotic materials, often paired with bespoke cabling for seamless performance.
Positioned firmly in the ultra-high-end market, Kharma commands respect among discerning audiophiles for its boundary-pushing engineering and musical realism, distributed worldwide through select dealers. This boutique Dutch marque appeals to buyers seeking reference-level transparency over mass-market compromises, embodying van Oosterum's relentless quest for the "Holy Grail" of audio reproduction.
