Seller's Description

Atoll IN400se Integrated Amplifier (Solid State) Price drop!! If you are thinking about it… grab a bargain whilst it lasts.   Over the years I have owned many amps including the Rega Aethos, Naim supernait 3 and the yamaha A-S2200 and the Atoll amp is the best I have heard....and the others were really good! ( well... the Yamaha was just ok tbh 😛   I am selling my amp Atoll IN400se. This flagship amplifier is a beast!! 160W 8ohm / 300W 4ohm. Only a few months old, after waiting months and months to get it ( they are built to order in France) I have decided to sell all my 2 channel audio equipm

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Notable, but not a steal at this level. At A$6,270, the ask sits around the mid-to-high end of the used market for an IN400se rather than a clear bargain; against a new-RRP anchor of A$10,000, it’s roughly a 37% discount, which is decent if the unit is genuinely mint, but not low enough to feel exceptional.

The reason people chase this amp is simple: it’s Atoll’s big dual-mono integrated, rated at 160 Wpc into 8 ohms and 300 Wpc into 4 ohms, with the current delivery and grip that suit demanding speakers well. It’s well built, feature-rich, and a clean example with box, remote, and documented ownership would hold appeal; at this price, I’d want confirmation of condition, service history, and that all accessories are present, because the upside is in buying a genuinely immaculate, complete unit rather than taking a risk on a merely average one.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Atoll

Atoll Electronique emerged in September 1997 from the Normandy town of Brécey, France, founded by brothers Stéphane and Emmanuel Dubreuil. Driven by a mission to deliver true high-end audio electronics at accessible prices, the family-run company has remained rooted in its original factory, where it doubled production capacity just a few years ago without chasing fleeting trends. Every product undergoes handmade assembly, with printed circuits wired by hand, discrete components soldered meticulously, and rigorous multi-stage testing before shipment—80% of parts sourced domestically for unwavering quality control.

The brand's portfolio spans over 40 models, centering on integrated amplifiers like the acclaimed IN200 Signature and IN50, alongside preamplifiers, power amps, DACs, CD players, and music streamers. Modular options, such as phono-stage and DAC expansion boards, enhance versatility, while a disciplined philosophy ensures new releases only when meaningful advancements justify them. This focus on amplification and digital sources defines Atoll's identity, eschewing speakers, turntables, headphones, or cables.

Positioned as a mid-tier high-end contender, Atoll earns praise for punching above its weight against rivals like Marantz, Parasound, and Rotel, blending Class A sonics with Class AB power in compact, domestically crafted designs that master demanding speakers. Widely awarded in Europe and gaining North American traction, it appeals to discerning buyers seeking engineered excellence without extravagance—a boutique gem for the savvy audiophile.
