Oehlbach XXL Series 2 XLR

Oehlbach is a German audio and connectivity brand with roots going back to 1974, when Manfred Oehlbach developed the company’s first speaker cables in Baden. What began as a small family-led operation grew into Oehlbach Kabel GmbH, a long-running specialist in precision cable technology and accessories. The brand’s heritage is firmly tied to the hi-fi world, with a reputation built on steady engineering rather than lifestyle branding.

Today, Oehlbach is best known for cables and signal accessories across audio, video, data and power. Its range includes speaker cables, interconnects, HDMI and digital cables, power products, adapters, and related home-entertainment accessories, with some headphone and headphone-amplifier listings appearing in retail channels. It is not primarily a maker of turntables, speakers or DACs; its core identity remains connection hardware and system accessories.

In the market, Oehlbach sits in the serious mainstream-to-upper-mid tier, with some premium lines aimed at enthusiasts who want robust build quality and refined materials without crossing into ultra-luxury pricing. It is a niche specialist rather than a boutique collectible brand, and its appeal lies in dependable, well-finished products for home audio, cinema and gaming systems.
