AirPods Max remain Apple’s premium over-ear headphones: excellent ANC, a convincing, spacious sound, and superb integration with Apple devices. At €450, though, this is clearly ambitious against the recent used market: the median is €308, with the 75th percentile at €361. Even in excellent condition, that premium needs a compelling reason—ideally a newer USB-C version with its full case and accessories.
They are still a worthwhile buy for an Apple user who values seamless switching, the Digital Crown, strong Transparency mode, and class-leading travel isolation. Battery life is roughly 20 hours with ANC, respectable rather than outstanding. At this price, confirm the exact generation and connector, test both earcups, ANC, charging, head detection, and battery health, and make sure the Smart Case and cable are included. Otherwise, a lower-priced example would offer substantially better value.
