In working orderHas some minor scratches. Missing few screws and one connector missing outer part
The age matters mainly because this is a 2010–2015-era BAT component, but it remains from the company’s serious, fully balanced tube-amplifier generation rather than an obsolete budget design. At US$1,990, it sits just below the 25th-percentile comparable price of US$1,999 and well below the US$3,225 median, making it a strong deal if the listing correctly identifies the model and its configuration.
The attraction is BAT’s distinctive combination of balanced circuitry, substantial power-supply engineering, tube richness, and unusually capable drive. The REX platform is known for broad bandwidth, high current delivery, and a design that can remain musically engaging without sounding soft or slow. At this price, rarity and condition matter more than small market differences: confirm the exact model, tube complement, remote, and service history, then verify quiet operation and channel balance. With those basics covered, this looks like a genuine buying opportunity rather than merely a fair listing.

Balanced Audio Technology (BAT) emerged in 1995 in the United States, founded by Steve Bednarski, Victor Khomenko, and Geoff Poor—engineers united by a passion for superior sound reproduction. From its inception, BAT distinguished itself through innovative balanced circuit topology, a design that inherently rejects noise and safeguards signal integrity, setting the stage for its enduring pursuit of audio purity.
The brand specializes in ultra-high-end components, including fully balanced tube and solid-state power amplifiers, preamplifiers, and phono preamps. Hand-built in a dedicated U.S. facility by skilled craftsmen, these products prioritize meticulous engineering to preserve the original signal's natural beauty, eschewing speakers, turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables in favor of core amplification excellence.
BAT commands a revered position in the high-end hi-fi market, catering to discerning audiophiles worldwide across over 40 countries. With a 25-year legacy of uncompromising performance, it embodies niche boutique prestige, where balanced architecture delivers unmatched transparency and dynamics for those seeking reference-level systems.
