2.5m pair of Lenehan Audio speaker cables, spades on both ends.Gorgeous sound but just not getting used. Cheap enough to have a go and see what all the fuss is about :)
Against the obvious alternative—ordinary budget bookshelf speakers at A$260—this looks like a potentially exceptional buy, provided “RIBBONTEK” means the Lenehan speaker model rather than Ribbontek cabling. The specific model is difficult to benchmark confidently: available Lenehan used listings concern ML1 speakers around A$1,250–A$2,300 per pair, while Ribbontek cables have sold around A$240, so verify exactly what is included before treating this as a bargain.
Lenehan’s reputation rests on coherent, carefully engineered compact speakers with rigid, low-resonance cabinets, controlled bass and unusually clean imaging. At this money, an intact pair could be a terrific enthusiast find, especially if the drivers, terminals, grilles and crossover are original and working properly. Ask for clear photos of both speakers and the model badge, confirm whether A$260 buys a pair or a single unit, and inspect for blown drivers, veneer damage or missing stands before committing.

Lenehan Audio emerged from humble beginnings in Australia, starting as a converted garage workshop in Nerang, Queensland, before expanding to a dedicated factory in Ashmore on the Gold Coast. Founded by longtime audiophile speaker designer Dave Lenehan, the brand has built a dedicated heritage in handcrafted audio, earning a loyal following among discerning enthusiasts in the region.
The company specializes in exceptional loudspeakers, with models like the acclaimed ML1 standing out for their precise engineering. These passive two-way designs feature high-quality components such as a 5.5-inch Nomex driver, a one-inch soft dome tweeter, and custom-tuned crossovers, delivering accurate, balanced sound. While primarily focused on speakers, Lenehan Audio positions itself as Australian-made high-end audio professionals, emphasizing direct sales to eliminate excessive retail margins.
Lenehan Audio occupies a niche boutique position in the high-end market, prized by knowledgeable hi-fi buyers for superb construction and performance at accessible prices, such as $2500 per pair for the ML1. Its reputation rests on meticulous, small-batch production rather than mass-market volume, appealing to those seeking authentic Australian craftsmanship. Note that as of March 2025, the brand rebranded to Lenehan Brothers under Dave's siblings Russell and Martin.
