Offered is „Stunning Sonus Faber Maxima Amator speakers“ by Sonus Faber as new device from the category „Standing Speaker“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 6807153954 ends on 25.12.2026 at 17:24 o'clock.
The Maxima Amator is Sonus faber’s compact Heritage-series floorstander, admired for its beautiful solid-walnut construction and unusually refined two-way design. At €9,350, this is a strong deal: it sits well below the €10,663 25th-percentile comparable and roughly €1,850 below the €11,202 median, making it an especially attractive asking price rather than merely fair value.
Its appeal goes beyond the furniture-grade finish. The 7-inch natural-fibre mid/woofer, DAD silk-dome tweeter, and carefully developed IFF crossover deliver an expansive, coherent presentation with convincing bass for a relatively modest cabinet, while the 88 dB sensitivity makes partnering straightforward with a broad range of amplifiers. Assuming the pair is clean, complete with grilles, spikes, and original packaging where possible, this looks like a genuine buying opportunity. Inspect the walnut, leather, drivers, and binding posts in person, but there is no pricing reason to hesitate.

Sonus faber was founded in 1983 by Franco Serblin in Vicenza, Italy, emerging from a singular vision to create loudspeakers of superior musical quality using natural materials and refined design. The company's name, Latin for "handcrafted sound," encapsulates its foundational philosophy. Serblin's early work—including the iconic Snail prototype inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's sketches—established the brand's commitment to marrying acoustic performance with sculptural aesthetics. The company's Italian heritage remains central to its identity, with production continuing in Vicenza for over four decades.
Sonus faber specializes exclusively in loudspeakers, a focused approach that has defined its market position. The brand is renowned for handcrafted wooden cabinets, violin-inspired industrial design, and signature model lines including the Guarneri Homage, Amati, Stradivari, and Aida. Early designs featured Kevlar woofers and silk-dome tweeters, though solid-wood construction became the defining material signature. Each speaker is treated as a musical instrument rather than mere audio equipment, reflecting the company's artisanal manufacturing ethos.
Sonus faber occupies the premium high-end segment of the audio market, commanding respect among discerning audiophiles and collectors worldwide. The brand's reputation rests on uncompromising craftsmanship, luxury materials, and the integration of traditional Italian design principles with contemporary audio technology. Its positioning appeals to listeners who view speakers as both functional components and interior design statements—a niche that has sustained the company's prestige and premium pricing across its four-decade history.
