Serious Inquiries Only Please! Please check out my other Reverb Listings for other Amazing and Rare Items!Best price on Reverb! Please read my Feedback AND Reviews! I just received 2 other 5Star ratings on 10-21 & 10-23. My customer service is the best, so is my packing and shipping! Buy with confidence!Only Linn Sondek LP-12 on Reverb with these features, especially this high end Grace F-9 cartridge!Rare, early model, Rare Linn Tone arm, Amazing Contemporary Grace Cartridge made around the time of the turntable! One family owned!1981, 40 years old! But looks like excellent and functions flawlessly!Just cleaned and serviced! Excellent condition throughout! Mint condition functionally!Don't miss out! These don't show up often especially with all these extras and in this condition and at this price!!IF YOU WANT AN AMAZING CHRISTMAS OR HOLIDAY GIFT, THIS IS IT!This is the only one I will offer for the remainder of this year in 2026!My Price is the best!Better than the others listed as mine has even more extras like upgraded cables and a valuable cartridge! The Plinth (Base) is super clean! The OEM Linn dust cover has marks on it, no cracks or breaks and is fully functional!Ships in 72 hours every day but when payment clears on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, then ships no later than the following Wednesday. Price is firm unless you bundle and buy more than one item from me concurrently, then I can reduce the price on the second item and also combine shipping costs and save you money! What follows are the shipping parameters:Please Note: This following shipping timetable is a guideline and not set in stone. Extenuating circumstance from the shipper or from my personal life can sometimes delay shipment. Things like delays due to Covid-19 which impacts staff shortages and supply chains, multiple buys on this platform in a short amount of time for example, 10 items sold in a 7-day period, or the illness of a child or my own illness or a fire or flood or an earthquake. I understand that most of the latter types of these occurrences are rare. But, even huge insurance companies allow for Force Majeure (look it up). And, please understand that I am only one person and if you want the rare vintage item you bought to arrive in the same condition it left me, it will take time to pack it and ship it right! And, if something happens like an extenuating circumstance, it will take a little more time to ship! Thank you for your understanding! So, in general, if bought and paid for Monday through Wednesday, I will ship out within 72 hours (business days, not Weekends). If bought and Payment clears on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, I will ship out no later than the following Wednesday! I don't quickly or sloppily pack and ship. However, if one or more of the issues I have described above occur, then there will be a delay in the shipping time! Also, I agonize over picking the proper packing materials and proper boxes which I buy for the item AFTER the item is sold. I have dozens of vintage audio items available for sale and I DO NOT HAVE THEM PACKED AND READY FOR SHIPMENT BEFORE THEY ARE SOLD, I DON'T DO IT LIKE THAT! I AM NOT AMAZON OR A LARGE ONLINE COMPANY, I AM A SOLE PROPRIETOR OF A LARGE COLLECTION OF VINTAGE AUDIO ITEMS THAT MY FAMILY COLLECTED OVER 60 YEARS. When you receive your turntable in the same condition as it left me, you will thank me! Please, look at my feedback regarding Packing and Shipping! Price is Firm! However, the price is Negotiable If you buy 2 or more of my Reverb items concurrently.Ships from San Marcos, CA. Packed safely and securely. I ALWAYS use the (RSS) Reverb Safe Shipping option when shipping an item I have sold in order to protect both you and me, I typically lose money on shipping because of this because RSS costs money. The more rare or valuable an item is, the more it costs to insure! In addition, I don't ship quickly or cheaply. Why sloppily throw a vintage receiver in Excellent condition into a box or poorly wrap it so it gets damaged in transit? I DO NOT DO THAT! I am meticulous with my packaging and I agonize over choosing the proper box that is ideal for each unit. Boxes, especially ones that are the correct dimensions for the item at hand are not always easy to come by. I use high quality double walled electronics boxes especially made for shipping vintage items of this type and if one box in the proper size is unavailable, I may even use TWO single walled corrugated cardboard boxes, putting one box with the unit in it INSIDE another larger box with even more packing material to fully protect the unit and that especially can be costly. So, the Price is Firm! However, the price is Negotiable if you bundle and buy 2 or more of my Reverb items concurrently! Thanks ; )

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

The Akito is a notably capable, long-running Linn arm, but US$2,585 is ambitious rather than a bargain: it sits just below the comparable-listing 75th percentile of US$2,664 and well above the US$1,869 median. With the condition marked unknown, that premium is difficult to justify unless this is a particularly desirable later variant or includes complete original fittings and packaging.

The appeal is real: low-friction bearings, a rigid bonded headshell, adjustable bias, and a versatile 2–10 g cartridge range make it a strong LP12 partner for both MM and MC cartridges. Before paying near the top of the market, verify the exact generation, check for smooth horizontal and vertical bearing movement, and confirm the arm cable, mounting hardware, counterweight, and cartridge screws are present. A documented, clean Mk3/Mk3B with accessories could merit the asking price; otherwise, negotiating toward the US$1,869 median would be sensible.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Linn

Linn Products: Brand Overview

Linn Products was founded in 1973 by Scottish engineer Ivor Tiefenbrun in Glasgow as a vehicle to manufacture the Sondek LP12 turntable, which would become the company's most iconic product and a cornerstone of high-fidelity audio. The brand emerged during the golden era of British hi-fi with a revolutionary "source first" philosophy—challenging the prevailing industry belief that loudspeakers mattered most by demonstrating that superior sound quality begins with the audio source. This foundational principle has guided the company's engineering ethos for over five decades.

Linn's product portfolio spans the complete hi-fi chain, from turntables and tonearms to preamplifiers, power amplifiers, and loudspeakers. The company introduced the world's first microprocessor-controlled preamplifier and power amplifier in 1985 (the LK1 and LK2), establishing itself as an electronics specialist. From 2007 onward, Linn pivoted toward digital music streaming, becoming an early adopter of network-based audio playback supporting studio master-quality recordings at 24-bit/192 kHz resolution, and discontinued CD player production in 2009 to focus on this strategic direction.

Linn occupies the high-end segment of the audio market, commanding respect among discerning audiophiles and collectors for its uncompromising engineering approach and longevity. The brand's reputation rests on meticulous product design, acoustic isolation principles, and a commitment to eliminating weak links in the signal chain—a philosophy that has made Linn one of the most influential manufacturers in hi-fi history and a benchmark for quality-focused audio engineering.
