Timing matters here: this appears to be the HGP Lyra Sonova speaker base, an accessory for an older, now-discontinued generation rather than a current universal stand. At €190 in excellent condition, it is a strong deal against the comparable Sonova market: the asking-price median is €1,270, with the lower quartile at €974. The unusually low price makes sense only if you already own the matching Lyra Sonova pair—or can verify compatibility before buying.
The worthwhile part is fit: a proper original base should provide the intended footprint, height, and stability, while preserving the speaker’s design and likely resale appeal. For an owner restoring or completing a Lyra setup, this is exactly the sort of scarce accessory that can be difficult to source later. Confirm it is a complete, genuine HGP base, check mounting hardware and cosmetic condition, and verify that it is for the Sonova rather than another Lyra variant; assuming those checks pass, €190 is an easy buying opportunity.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Lyra Analog emerged from a visionary collaboration among three audio pioneers: American designer Jonathan Carr, Japanese master-craftsman Yoshinori Mishima, and Norwegian business leader Stig Bjørge. Founded in Japan, the brand embodies a commitment to original engineering and artisanal precision, with all products hand-built from the ground up under meticulous supervision. This heritage reflects Japan's revered tradition of craftsmanship, prioritizing long-lasting transducers that push analog playback boundaries.
The brand specializes exclusively in high-end phono cartridges, such as the acclaimed Delos, Kleos, Atlas, and SPT models. These moving-coil designs extract unparalleled texture, transparency, and dynamic contrast from vinyl records, delivering immersive emotional depth. Lyra avoids broader categories like amplifiers, speakers, or headphones, focusing instead on transducers that redefine analog fidelity through innovative materials and construction.
Positioned firmly in the ultra-high-end market, Lyra commands reverence among audiophiles and vinyl enthusiasts for its industry-leading advances and limited availability. Crafted to be among the finest in their class, these cartridges appeal to discerning collectors seeking maximum revelation from analog sources, blending cutting-edge design with Japanese build quality that ensures enduring performance.
