Offered is „AQUEOUS AUREUS Praesto Revision CONTEGO XLR 1m“ by Purist Audio Design PAD as second-hand device from the category „XLR-Cable (Analog)“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 5827393074 ends on 26.12.2026 at 23:30 o'clock.
At €600, the obvious alternative is a newer, lesser-known balanced interconnect—but this is the stronger buy. It sits below the €666 25th-percentile mark from 11 comparable listings, versus a €1,221 median, making it a genuine bargain rather than merely a fair price.
The Aqueous Aureus Praesto is a serious, well-regarded PAD design: Contego fluid/ferox damping, substantial shielding, alloy Ag/Cu/Au conductors, and properly balanced XLR termination. It is built for a rich, composed presentation with good detail and low noise, while the 1 m length remains easy to resell. Confirm that this is a stereo pair, check both XLRs for secure strain relief, and make sure the soft case is included, but assuming clean operation, €600 is an excellent opportunity.

Purist Audio Design emerged in 1986 from founder Jim's garage in the United States, embodying a passion for high-end audio innovation. Born out of a desire to elevate sound reproduction, the brand quickly distinguished itself through a holistic approach to cable design, meticulously addressing every parameter that influences audio fidelity. Over 35 years later, this Texas-based operation remains a testament to dedicated craftsmanship and audiophile ingenuity.
The company specializes exclusively in premium audio cables, handcrafting interconnects, speaker cables, and power cords renowned for their luxurious sonic performance. Flagship lines like Dominus, Proteus, Colossus, Venustas, and Museus dominate their portfolio, engineered with advanced techniques to deliver unparalleled transparency and musicality. Purist eschews diversification into amplifiers, speakers, or DACs, focusing intently on cables as the vital conduits for pure signal integrity.
In the high-end market, Purist Audio Design occupies a niche boutique position, celebrated by discerning enthusiasts for its bespoke quality and show-proven excellence. Commanding premium prices, these cables earn consistent praise in audiophile circles for refining system dynamics, though their specialized focus appeals primarily to serious hi-fi buyers seeking subtle yet profound upgrades.
