Te koop aangeboden: de iconische mcintosh mda1000 d/a converter. Een dac die een oorstrelende maar tevens zeer krachtige weergave levert. Een warme, vloeiende klank met hoge tonen vol resolutie — alle
Against three recent comparable listings, the €2,600 asking price is slightly ambitious: it sits above the €2,513 75th percentile and €2,427 median, rather than representing a bargain. A cleaner example with complete accessories, service history, or particularly strong cosmetic condition would be needed to justify the premium.
The MDA1000 remains a serious, beautifully built PCM DAC, with a fully balanced analogue stage, multiple coaxial, optical and AES/EBU inputs, and a useful variable output that can feed a power amplifier directly. Its presentation and McIntosh build quality are the main attractions. The limitation is age: it accepts digital sources only up to 96 kHz and has no native USB input, so confirm that all inputs, display functions, remote control and output modes work properly. At this price, original packaging and documentation would also matter.
