Seller's Description

Dan D’Agostino Momentum S200 Power Amplifier For sale my Dan D'Agostino Momentum S200 stereo power amp in excellent condition. Very well looked after with just some faint scuffs on the top (pls see pics) and with its original flight case 220V model of course.   Letting this go because I am moving to a quite different configuration (monos, not the DDA tough with multisub) Pickup preferred considering the weight and size (the amp is not large, but the flight case is and the whole is quite heavy). Shipping available, buyer pays shipping cost.  Bank transfer. Paypal add 3%     Condition: Excellent

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This listing is a glaring mispricing: A$22,000 for a used Dan Clark Audio Momentum S200 is not a buyer’s market opportunity but a seller’s fantasy, as the model typically retails new for roughly A$1,200–A$1,400 and used units rarely exceed A$900–A$1,100. There is no credible used market where this headphone approaches even 10% of the asking price; the listing is almost certainly either a typo, a scam, or a confusion with a completely different high-end system (perhaps a multi-thousand-dollar speaker or amp bundle mistakenly labeled).

The Momentum S200 is a well-regarded, affordable planar magnetic headphone known for tight bass and clear mids, but it carries no rarity or collector upside that could justify A$22,000. Unless the seller provides irrefutable proof this is a genuine, uniquely modified, or misidentified ultra-high-end product, this is not a buyable listing—it’s a red flag. A fellow enthusiast should skip it and look for actual used Momentum S200 units in the A$800–A$1,000 range.

About Dan Clark Audio

Dan Clark Audio, originally founded as MrSpeakers in 2012 by audio engineer Dan Clark in San Diego, California, traces its roots to the founder's lifelong passion for sound that began in childhood. With a background including work on Monitor Audio's premium Platinum Series speakers in the late 1990s and early headphone modifications for audiophiles, Clark bootstrapped the company through those sales, avoiding loans or investors to fund independent research and development.

The brand specializes exclusively in high-end planar magnetic headphones, offering both open-back and closed-back models renowned for innovative driver technology, such as proprietary designs protected by multiple US patents. Standouts include early releases like the Mad Dog and ETHER, alongside modern flagships emphasizing balanced acoustics, exceptional comfort, and lightweight engineering—handmade in the USA without venturing into amplifiers, speakers, or other categories.

Positioned as a niche boutique leader in the ultra-premium headphone market, Dan Clark Audio commands respect among discerning audiophiles for its relentless pursuit of perfection, earning accolades from Hi-Fi+, The Absolute Sound, HFN, and The New York Times Wirecutter. Renamed in 2019, it prioritizes value-driven excellence over mass production, solidifying its status as an innovator in personal audio.
