Seller's Description

Sennheiser IE900 Headphones - In Ear Monitors Hi All i bought these from a fellow SNA member three weeks ago. They sound wonderful, but I’ve discovered I’m not an IEMs person. My ears just don’t dig them.  Here’s the original ad:    I’ve added a box of Final Audio “E” tips, which gave me an excellent seal. Comes with all the original accessories except the small silicone tips, as per the original ad.      Condition: Excellent Payment Method: EFT Region/State: (VIC) Victoria/Australia By AussieMick 0 Comments Secure Ad AUD $1,100 Date: August 24, 20241 yr

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

At A$1,100, this Sennheiser IE 900 listing is a fair deal that sits just below the median of A$1,084 from your recent AUD comparable listings, positioned comfortably between the 25th percentile (A$1,065) and 75th percentile (A$1,103). While the original retail price remains high at A$2,099, the used market has settled into this range, making A$1,100 a solid entry point for a flagship IEM without the premium of new stock.

The IE 900 is a well-regarded flagship known for its exceptional bass response, crisp resolution, and premium build quality that justifies its reputation among audiophiles. In excellent condition, this listing offers meaningful upside as a rare opportunity to own Sennheiser’s top-tier in-ear monitor at a matured used price, especially if it includes original accessories like the carrying case and multiple ear tips. No caveats are needed here; this is a buying opportunity for enthusiasts seeking high-end sound without the new retail cost.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Sennheiser

Founded in June 1945 by Dr. Fritz Sennheiser in a farmhouse near Hanover, Germany, Sennheiser began as Laboratorium Wennebostel, producing voltmeters and early microphones amid post-World War II reconstruction. Seven engineers from the University of Hannover joined the founder, quickly pivoting to broadcast microphones like the DM 2 in 1946 and the groundbreaking MD 82 shotgun mic in 1956. Renamed Sennheiser electronic in 1958, the family-owned company passed to second- and third-generation leadership, maintaining its innovative spirit over eight decades.

Sennheiser excels in professional and consumer audio, renowned for microphones, wireless systems, and headphones that set industry standards. Pioneers of the first open-back headphones (HD 414 in 1968) and enduring studio icons like the MD 421 and MD 441, they also produce high-end headphones, earbuds, soundbars, and conferencing solutions. While strong in pro audio like mixers and geophysical gear, their consumer focus centers on headphones and wireless tech rather than amplifiers, speakers, turntables, DACs, or cables.

Sennheiser commands a premium position in the hi-fi market, blending mid-tier accessibility with high-end excellence for discerning buyers and professionals. Trusted for reliability and sonic precision, it appeals to audiophiles seeking reference-grade headphones without boutique obscurity, backed by a heritage of technological firsts that sustains its global leadership.
