Unknown condition, but the unit is reported tested, which makes US$35 an outright bargain rather than merely a fair buy. That is well below the supplied comparable-market 25th percentile of US$98, and dramatically under the US$150 median for this model category.
The TVA50 is a useful, purpose-built installation amplifier: 50 watts per channel, stable with 4-ohm loads, and equipped with automatic current-sensing or trigger-based switching between sources. It can also handle two speaker pairs, making it handy for distributed audio or a discreet secondary system. At this price, the main thing to confirm is that “tested” includes both channels, automatic switching, and clean operation under load; if so, the included IEC cord and speaker connectors are icing on an already excellent deal.

Niles Audio traces its origins to 1978, when it launched in Miami, Florida, as a pioneer in switching systems for audio retailers. From these humble beginnings, the company evolved into a cornerstone of custom home audio, earning its stripes as a founding member of CEDIA and building a legacy of installer-focused innovation over four decades. Acquired by Linear LLC in recent years, Niles continues to uphold its heritage while expanding under new ownership.
The brand specializes in comprehensive whole-home audio solutions, offering over 500 products that span architectural speakers, amplifiers, receivers, automation controls, and accessories for seamless integration. Its portfolio emphasizes multi-room distribution, home theater systems, outdoor landscape audio, and cutting-edge options like the nearly invisible Cynema Soundfield in-wall soundbar, all designed for custom integrators to deliver professional-grade performance across indoor and outdoor spaces.
Niles holds a strong mid-to-high-end position in the custom installation market, renowned among savvy homeowners and professionals for reliable, high-quality distributed audio that blends effortlessly into modern living. Far from a vintage collector's niche, it remains a go-to for discerning buyers seeking robust, integrator-friendly systems that prioritize exceptional entertainment without compromise.
