Seller's Description

Onkyo DX-C390 Compact Disc Player 6-Disc CD Changer No Remote CLEANED & TESTED ✅Player is in good used condition, having been cleaned and tested by myself personally. Before listing I had removed the bonnet to clean the interior with compressed air, as well as polished the laser lens with isopropyl alcohol. Unit is able to easily track and play any CD that is loaded into it, without showing any incongruities in playback quality that I can note. All buttons along the face are appropriately responsive to their designated action, display screen shines brightly when the unit is on and running, and power chord is void of any tears or frays along the length of the cable.Player is in decent shape cosmetically, showing only some signs of age-related wear around the exterior. No notable points of damage inflicted along any edge or face of the units metal housing or front display. Unfortunately does not include a remote control, but will be shipped with a set of stereo L/R RCAs as shown in the listing images. See all pictures closely for details of condition, and specifications of the item.I specialize in shipping electronics such as this, and can guarantee that every precaution will be taken to ensure safe delivery of your purchase. Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This is a buyer’s market for six-disc CD changers: at US$129, this sits below the US$171 median and comfortably below the US$110 25th-percentile threshold? Actually, it is above that lower quartile, so it is a good, fair-to-attractive buy, not a bargain. It also lands well below the US$346 75th percentile, leaving little reason to pay substantially more for a comparable example.

The DX-C390 remains a useful, well-regarded component for listeners who want hours of uninterrupted disc playback. Its carousel holds six discs, allows five to be changed while one plays, and supports CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3 discs, with optical and coaxial digital outputs if you prefer an external DAC. “Cleaned and tested” is meaningful here: confirm every tray position loads, rotates, reads, and ejects properly. The missing remote limits convenience, but at US$129 this is still a sensible, enjoyable buy if the changer mechanism behaves.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Onkyo

Onkyo traces its roots to postwar Japan, founded in 1946 in Osaka by Takeshi Goda, an engineer at Matsushita Electric who envisioned high-quality Japanese loudspeakers. Initially established as Osaka Denki Onkyo K.K., the company began production in 1948 with the acclaimed ED-100 speaker featuring a 25 cm driver, quickly building a reputation through LP concerts and innovative designs that resonated with audiophiles.

The brand excels in premium home audio, renowned for AV receivers, hi-fi amplifiers, and surround sound speakers that deliver exceptional clarity and power. Its portfolio spans turntables, DACs, headphones, and cables, bolstered by acquisitions like Pioneer's home electronics division in 2015, enabling cutting-edge integrations such as internet radio and high-resolution streaming.

Onkyo holds a solid mid-tier position in the hi-fi market, prized by discerning buyers for reliable performance and value rather than ultra-high-end exotica. Despite bankruptcy challenges in the late 2010s, its revival under new ownership preserves a legacy of technological innovation and pure sound enjoyment, appealing to both vintage enthusiasts and modern home cinema setups.
