Offered is „T + A Criterion Tal 160“ by T + A as second-hand device from the category „Standing Speaker“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 4499352214 ends on 04.01.2027 at 13:39 o'clock.
This is a strong deal. At €1,300, it sits well below the €1,017–€7,786 middle 50% of comparable used T+A listings and far under the €3,612 median—excellent value if the model and condition are correctly represented.
The TAL 160 is a substantial German three-way transmission-line floorstander, known for deep, controlled bass, fine resolution, strong dynamics, and useful level adjustment for bass, midrange, and treble. Its 90 dB sensitivity and bi-wiring/bi-amping capability make it reasonably flexible, though the 61 kg cabinets mean collection and transport need planning. At this money, a clean, complete pair with intact drivers, terminals, controls, grilles, and spikes is a particularly attractive buy.

T+A, a pinnacle of German hi-fi engineering, traces its roots to 1978 when physicist Siegfried Amft founded the company in Herford, northwest Germany. Standing for "Theorie und Anwendung in der Elektroakustik" (Theory and Application in Electroacoustics), it began with a bold vision: crafting exceptional audio products despite limited resources. Amft's early focus on loudspeakers evolved rapidly into electronics, establishing T+A as a family-run enterprise driven by scientific curiosity and relentless innovation.
The brand excels across a broad spectrum of high-end categories, from meticulously engineered amplifiers and cutting-edge music players to top-tier separates, compact Hi-Fi systems, and all-in-one solutions. Its loudspeakers, both passive and active, remain a cornerstone, complemented by pioneering digital components like the world's first DSD 1024-capable player. This comprehensive range spans analog and digital domains, catering to audiophiles seeking uncompromising performance.
Positioned firmly in the high-end market, T+A commands respect as Germany's market leader and one of the world's most influential hi-fi marques. Renowned for pushing technological boundaries—through ties to elite technical universities and in-house R&D—it delivers products that blend engineering precision with emotional musicality, appealing to discerning buyers who demand the ultimate in fidelity.
