At A$6,700, this is upper-mid to strong used-market money for MG3.6R rather than a bargain; comparable asks and sold comps I can find cluster closer to the mid-A$4,000s to around A$6,000 depending on condition, finish, and what’s included. In that context, this listing reads as fair to a touch ambitious, but not outlandish if the restoration was done well and the panels are performing properly.
The appeal is the usual Magnepan one: big, open, highly coherent planar sound with excellent image scale and a very natural midrange, and the MG3.6R is a sought-after model with true-ribbon top-end cachet. The upside here is the stated restoration and very-good condition, which matter on older Maggies; the main thing I’d want to verify is panel health, consistency between speakers, and exactly what “stands only” means for your install, since that affects value and logistics.
