Like new is the right place to start with a valve amp like this, because condition and service history matter a lot for both sound and ownership cost. At A$20,000, the ask looks ambitious versus typical used Air Tight ATM-2 Plus pricing, which I’d place closer to about A$13,000–A$15,500 based on current overseas used listings and a new price around A$29,500.
What you’re paying for is one of the most respected KT88 push-pull integrated-style power amps: 70W per channel, very refined midrange, and enough drive to make high-end speakers sound effortless. The like new condition and included cables/accessories add real value, and if it’s been properly maintained with healthy output tubes, that’s a meaningful plus. Still, at this level I’d want proof of recent servicing, tube condition, and that the bias is stable before paying top money.
