Acoustic Energy AE309 Floorstanding Loudspeakers Open to offers. Up for sale are a pair off Acoustic Energy AE309 in piano back finish with grilles. These were purchased as ex demo a few months ago from a local store. These are in good condition with no scratches or dents in the enclosure. These are excellent units and have had a little use and purchased for a dinning room streaming setup but the wife would like a decor change. Please note these do not come with the Gaia III feet in the picture but Black adjustable spikes from a pair of Spendors. I have no original packaging for thes
This is a seller’s market for this category right now: at A$1,500, the asking price sits above the listed comparable median of A$1,311 and also above the A$1,340 75th percentile, so it reads as ambitious rather than fair value. It’s not wildly out of line, but it does ask you to pay a premium over the recent typical used spread, so I’d want the presentation and provenance to really justify it.
That said, AE309s are well-liked for their clean, open midrange, good bass for a slim floorstander, and generally easy, room-friendly balance. An excellent condition example is the right kind of listing to chase if it’s been well cared for, ideally with original grilles, feet, and packaging; if those are present, the premium is easier to swallow.
