Seller's Description

Naim Audio Super Lumina #2 Interconnect Cables (XLR) Purchased from Len Wallis in lane cove, with a view of going all xlr. But didn’t pan out and went single ended.  These are from a Naim statement pre/power setup for a customer who ultimately decided to go another more expensive route. Hence special order from Naim for this length. Current rrp for 1.5m can be found here: https://www.basilaudio.com/products/superlumina-balanced-xlrxlr-signal-interconnect-cable/   So if you have a need for the ultimate xlr cable in your setup or just bought into the new range of Naim gear this is an absolute mu

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Naim's Super Lumina interconnects stand out for their directional silver-plated copper conductors and Air-PLUG tech, engineered to match the pace and rhythm of high-end Naim stacks without the bulk of bulkier rivals. At AUD1,300 for a used pair, this strikes me as a fair ask—aligning with typical second-hand pricing around AUD1,500-2,500 for 1m lengths in good nick, based on recent Euro and GBP sales converted at current rates.

Before biting, verify the exact length, connector type (DIN, RCA, or XLR?), and directionality markings, as mismatches kill performance. Check plugs for bent pins or oxidation, a common wear point on these, and insist on original boxes to confirm no Frankenstein mods.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Naim Audio

Naim Audio, a cornerstone of British hi-fi excellence, traces its origins to 1973 when Julian Vereker, a self-taught engineer, racing driver, and music enthusiast, formally incorporated the company in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Vereker's journey began earlier, in 1969, experimenting with tape recording and sound-to-light boxes before designing his first power amplifier in 1971. Amid the British hi-fi industry's recession, he secured a pivotal contract with Capital Radio, blending entrepreneurial grit with a passion for authentic sound reproduction that challenged conventional wisdom.

The brand specializes in premium integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers, preamplifiers, digital streamers, DACs, and compact music systems, often featuring built-in amplification for streamlined setups. While not delving into speakers—beyond a historical foray—or headphones and turntables, Naim emphasizes modular, upgradable components that prioritize pace, rhythm, and timing (PRaT), a signature sonic philosophy rooted in the "source first" approach alongside contemporaries like Linn.

Naim holds a commanding position in the high-end market, revered by discerning audiophiles for its handmade, innovative systems that deliver emotional musical engagement over mere specifications. Now part of VerVent Audio Group following a 2011 merger with Focal, it exports to over 45 countries, sustaining a cult following for resilient, influential designs that transcend economic cycles.
