Purchased new in 2021 they were origianlly purchased for a smaller room I had in Melbourne. Now my room is much bigger in Brisbane they have been sitting pretty much unused for the past year or so. Very dynamic sounding speaker for their size with tight articulate bass, beautiful tone in the midrange and just the right amount of detail retrieval in the highs. A very well crafted piece of hifi with loads of glowing reviews online and on youtube. Build is excep
This is a buyer’s-market item at A$3,500: new Tribe Towers are around A$9,600–A$10,900 per pair once you convert the typical A$6,500–A$6,900 asking range into AUD, so this used price lands well below half of new and looks like a strong buy for a like-new pair.
What makes them worth it is the usual Totem recipe: a very slim floorstander with a big, coherent soundstage, excellent imaging, and surprisingly deep bass for the footprint, plus sensitivity around 89dB and a 4Ω load that still rewards a solid amp. In like-new condition, the upside is clear if the finish is clean and the original feet/grilles are included; for a well-kept pair at this number, I’d treat it as a good opportunity rather than a risky one.
