In the top echelon of Class D amplifiers and an easy load for preamplifiers owing to their designed input stage with a 1M Ohm input impedance, which allows the pre-amplifier to see a much easier load and hence introduces less harmonic distortion and phase delay to the system. That makes it an ambitious ask unless this pair is in unusually strong cosmetic/mechanical shape, comes with boxes, and has been recently serviced or lightly used. That said, NuPrime’s Evolution series is well regarded for fast, articulate, high-control presentation with good drive and scale, so a clean pair can be a very serious buy. If these are immaculate and complete, the appeal is real. I’d want strong proof of condition and originality at this level, because the price leaves less room for surprises.
