selby BUN900813 Acoustic Panels / Diffusers 3x acoustic panels from selby acoustics (selby.com.au) product link: https://www.selby.com.au/acoustic-room-treatment/4-pack-fibreglass-acoustic-treatment-panels-1200x600x25mm-900813.html i do have the tax invoice to show if needed Condition: used Payment Method: cash Region/State: (VIC) Victoria/Australia By Nuggie 0 Comments Secure Ad AUD $115 Date: June 22, 20241 yr
Condition is unknown, so the A$115 ask is hard to judge precisely without more detail on size, material, and whether it’s a full set or just a partial lot. For Selby acoustic panels/diffusers, that’s generally a fair-to-good used price if the pieces are intact and the bundle is usable, but I’d want to compare the coverage area before calling it a clear bargain.
These are worthwhile buys when you’re after practical room treatment rather than audiophile jewelry: they can tame early reflections, tighten imaging, and make a small room sound more controlled. The upside is strongest if it’s a complete, clean set with no warped frames, crushed corners, or missing mounting bits; if that checks out, this is the kind of listing that can be an easy win for a system tune-up.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
Selby Acoustics is an Australian audio retailer, not a manufacturer, and it appears to have begun as an eBay business in 2003, founded by Shaun O’Brien. Its heritage is therefore retail-led rather than component-design-led, with later growth into a broader omnichannel operation and showroom presence in Victoria.
The company’s core focus is home theatre and hi-fi accessories, with a catalogue that includes amplifiers and receivers, speakers and speaker accessories, turntables and hi-fi accessories, audio and video cables, connectors, adaptors, mounts, brackets, racks, and other AV hardware. It also sells related smart-home and display-installation products, which places it firmly in the practical system-building end of the audio market.
In market terms, Selby Acoustics sits in the value-to-mid-tier retail segment rather than the high-end or collector space. Its reputation is built on breadth of range, convenience, and customer support for mainstream hi-fi and home cinema buyers, making it a useful destination for accessories, installation parts, and entry-to-mid-level audio components rather than prestige audiophile exclusives.
