OPERA CONSONANCE PM8 MM/MC Phono Preamplifier I bought this phono preamp from stereonet couple years back. The previous owner have done a great job to summarise this product so I just borrowed few from his previous post. "Two box" phono preamp with separate power supply. Remarkably good sounding unit for the price with adjustments for loading / gain for MC cartridges. Very quiet preamp with no discernable hum with volume down. Opera-Consonance, also marketed as Opera Audio, is a Chinese hi-fi brand founded in 1994 in Beijing by Shi Hui Liu, who is also identified as the company’s chief designer and owner. It is one of the earlier international high-end audio manufacturers to emerge from China, and the brand has long emphasized original design and in-house manufacturing.
