Seller's Description

Auditorum 23 A23 SUT Step Up Transformer Excellent condition Auditorium A23 SUT – Denon 103 version.  Purchased new less than a year ago from Auditorium agent. Worked beautifully with my ZU 103R and Leben phonostage.  As good as the reviews say it is and only selling as I have moved to a Koetsu cartridge and have also changed SUT to something suitable for the Koetsu. My understanding is that these are no longer available and/or in very short supply as they are no longer being made.    My asking price includes standard shipping.  http://www.auditorium-23.de/Accessories/Transformers.html https:/

About Auditorum 23

Auditorium 23: A German Hi-Fi Specialist

Auditorium 23 emerged in 1980 as a hi-fi import-export, retail, and research & development venture based in Frankfurt, Germany, founded by Keith Aschenbrenner. Rather than a conventional startup, the company evolved organically from Aschenbrenner's passion for musical reproduction and his connections within the international audio community. This unconventional genesis shaped the brand's philosophy: prioritizing sonic authenticity over commercial expansion.

The brand's product portfolio reflects a curated, specialist approach. Auditorium 23 manufactures speaker systems—notably the Hommage line—alongside interconnect cables, speaker cables, and step-up transformers optimized for low-output moving coil cartridges. The company also distributes complementary components including tube amplifiers by Ken Shindo, turntables by J.C. Verdier, and speakers from manufacturers like Line Magnetic and Western Electric. This selective distribution strategy underscores Aschenbrenner's commitment to sonic coherence across entire systems.

Auditorium 23 occupies the high-end, boutique segment of the audio market, commanding respect among serious vinyl enthusiasts and analog-focused listeners. The brand is recognized for creating "some of the most musical audio gear," with particular acclaim for its transformers and speaker cables that embody meticulous research into tonal character. Though distribution has contracted in certain markets, Auditorium 23 maintains a devoted following among collectors and audiophiles who value musicality and craftsmanship over mass-market accessibility.
