This is a fair ask, not a bargain. At A$550 for a like-new ASW10 CM, you’re in the upper end of sensible used pricing for an older B&W 10-inch sub; that’s acceptable if it’s truly mint, recently used, and complete, but it’s not cheap enough to call a steal.
What keeps it appealing is the platform: the ASW10 CM was aimed at the CM series and is known for punchy, room-filling bass with plenty of headroom for music and home cinema. The 500W amp and 10-inch driver give it real authority, so a clean example can still make a strong one-box upgrade. At this price, I’d want the original feet/grille and proof it powers up quietly, since aged subs can develop amp or driver issues.
