NAD Electronics M51 DAC This is a very good DAC with almost all inputs ( USB, Optical, Coaxial, HDMI and AES/EBU ) ... were using both balanced and unbalanced output and both are very clean...I dont have the box but will send in secure package if postage is needed ... it is one of the best DAC for value I have ever tried but nowadays I am not using it so better let it go...Got very good reviews if you search... NAD’s M51 has long been one of the cleaner, more serious DACs in its class, so A$725 for a very_good example lands a touch above the A$608 median but still well inside the normal market spread; it is not overpriced, though it is a bit firmer than a dead-center buy. Against the A$185 to A$1,255 interquartile range, this reads as a solid, buyable listing rather than a bargain-bin score.
What makes it appealing is the M51’s reputation for a neutral, resolving, low-noise presentation and its flexibility as a high-end digital hub for older and newer source gear. If the unit is complete and functioning cleanly, the biggest upside is simply getting a respected, well-regarded DAC in tidy condition; at this price, I’d mainly want confidence in the display, inputs, and remote, but there’s nothing about the ask that feels out of line.
