For the Beomaster 1200, the going level is roughly A$180–A$220 in Europe once converted, so A$400 is on the ambitious side rather than a bargain.
That said, the appeal is real if you want the B&O look and a compact late-60s classic that still has genuine enthusiast cachet. In excellent condition, the upside is a clean cosmetic example that’s far easier to enjoy and display than a tired one, and these tend to attract buyers who value originality and presence over brute specs. At this price, I’d want confirmation it’s fully serviced and genuinely tidy, with no scratchy controls or weak tuner performance.
