HiFiMan Susvara Headphones - Over/On Ear For Sale or Trade is my Susvara. These are the 2.5mm version (which sound exactly the same as the 3.5mm version). They are in excellent condition, I only noticed 1 scratch (after taking photos). I did not notice it when I eyeballed it for sale inspection, but I have highlighted the slight scratch in the photo. The pads and the headstrap were replaced less than 6 months ago. Sale includes original box, the fancy book, and the two stock cables. Is this one priced to move? At A$4,500, it lands well below the 25th percentile of recent AUD comparables at A$5,542, and comfortably under the median of A$5,951. For a Susvara, that reads as a strong buy rather than just “fair,” assuming the condition is genuinely sound.
That’s what makes it worth chasing: the Susvara is still a reference-level planar for resolution, tonal smoothness, and sheer openness, with very little else matching its ability to scale with excellent amplification. At this price, the main upside is simple value, especially if it includes the original box, cable set, and hasn’t seen heavy cosmetic wear. I’d still verify pad condition and ask about driver/channel balance, but the listing looks like a buying opportunity.
