Seller's Description

Focal Trio 6 BE Active Studio Monitors Near new (4 months old), Focal Trio 6 BE monitors.    These were used as LCR speakers in a high end atmos setup, mainly used for Atmos music. I will also be listing Solo6 ST6 rears and a Marantz AV10 processor. These have probably seen less than 60 hours use and are in as new unmarked condition. They come with all packaging and are Australian purchased, with warranty. These are a stunning sounding monitor with power, detail and smooth non-fatiguing sound. I am open to separating the monitors for a sale. my price is relatively firm. Only reason for moving

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This A$4,700 asking price for a like-new Focal Trio6 Be pair is a strong deal, sitting well below the typical used market where pairs commonly list around A$6,300–A$6,800 (based on $4,200 USD and €3,130 listings converted to AUD). While the model has been replaced by the Trio6 ST6, the original Trio6 Be remains the top-tier 3-way active monitor in Focal’s legacy line, prized for its beryllium tweeter and Focus Mode flexibility.

The Trio6 Be delivers exceptional accuracy and detail with its 1” beryllium inverse dome, 5” mid, and 8” sub, making it a pro studio favorite for mixing and critical listening. A like-new condition at this price is a rare buying opportunity, especially since the replacement Trio6 ST6 costs nearly A$10,500 new. No caveats apply here—this is a clean, high-value listing for a well-loved, professional-grade speaker.

About Focal

Focal traces its roots to 1979 in Saint-Étienne, France, where engineer and hi-fi enthusiast Jacques Mahul founded the company in a small workshop within his father's precision engineering firm. Initially operating as JMlab, it began crafting bespoke speaker drivers, with early models like the DB13 earning acclaim for their compact yet dynamic bass performance. This heritage of acoustic innovation and French craftsmanship propelled Focal's evolution, marked by pivotal 1990s expansions under Gérard Chrétien's leadership, yielding iconic references such as the Vega and Grande Utopia loudspeakers that redefined audiophile standards.

The brand's core focus remains high-fidelity loudspeakers, where it excels through in-house driver design featuring breakthroughs like inverted-dome tweeters, Polyglass cones, flax diaphragms, and beryllium tweeters in its Utopia line. Focal has diversified into professional studio monitors, premium headphones, car audio systems, and select accessories, all emphasizing noble materials and meticulous engineering. While not delving into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or cables, its speaker-centric portfolio spans home, mobile, and pro applications with unwavering commitment to purity of sound.

Positioned firmly in the high-end market, Focal commands respect as a world leader among discerning hi-fi buyers for its benchmark performance, international awards, and "Made in France" prestige. No longer a niche boutique, it blends heritage appeal with cutting-edge technology, attracting serious audiophiles who prioritize transparency, dynamics, and emotional depth over mass-market compromises.
