Seller's Description

Franco Serblin Accordo Bookshelf Loudspeakers Would much prefer local pick up but I can courier which is extra.  Price is firm.   Purchased new on 15 November 2021, these are stunning bookshelf speakers and my equal favourite speaker of all time. This is actually the second pair I've owned and sadly, these too, need to find a new home. They are in beautiful condition as the photographs show.    The chome stands starting flaking and pitting not long after I bought them - a common problem with this speaker. I had the option to have them replaced under warranty but decided to have them profession

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Is this the kind of under-the-radar buy you want, or are you chasing a bigger margin of safety? At A$8,900, it sits well below the recent comparable market: the median is A$15,705, the 25th percentile is A$15,044, and the 75th percentile is A$17,612. That makes this look like a strong deal, not just a fair one.

These are well-regarded speakers for their natural, finely textured midrange and that easy, room-filling coherence Franco Serblin is known for. If the cabinets, drivers, and stands/grilles are all original and clean, the value upside is real at this price; just confirm there’s no hidden driver damage, veneer issues, or missing parts before jumping.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Franco Serblin

Franco Serblin, the Italian audio visionary renowned for founding Sonus Faber in 1983, launched his eponymous brand in 2006 after selling the former company. A master designer and engineer—originally a dental technician with a passion for music and instruments—Serblin devoted his career (1939–2013) to crafting loudspeakers that fused sonic excellence with aesthetic harmony, drawing from Italy's tradition of refined craftsmanship.

The brand focuses exclusively on high-end loudspeakers, emphasizing floorstanders like the Ktema for its rich, dynamic clarity and bookshelves such as the Accordo for compact precision. Premium materials—wood, leather, metal—underpin meticulous construction, prioritizing natural sound reproduction over broader categories like amplifiers or electronics.

Positioned as a niche boutique in the ultra-high-end market, Franco Serblin commands reverence among discerning audiophiles for its artisanal purity and emotional fidelity. Products embody Serblin's philosophy of beauty in both sound and form, attracting collectors who seek transcendent listening experiences beyond mass-market offerings.
