The T-4010 is a perfectly respectable late-’80s/’90s-era Onkyo tuner, but US$149 is on the high side for a used standalone tuner unless it’s unusually clean or comes with strong provenance. Comparable Onkyo T-401/T-401-class used listings cluster more around roughly US$22–US$65, with a higher outlier at US$99.99 reconditioned, so this ask looks ambitious rather than fair.
What makes it worth considering is the usual Onkyo formula: solid build, stable digital tuning, and generally agreeable FM performance when the unit is healthy. If the front end is sensitive, the display is bright, and it’s from an original owner with the box, manual, or remote/preset accessories, that adds real value. At this price, I’d want proof it’s fully tested and cosmetically excellent before calling it a buy.
