That said, the QR-4500 is a desirable early-1970s Sansui quad receiver, with a built-in QS decoder, dual phono inputs, and real collector appeal when it’s serviced and complete. If this unit is exceptionally clean, recently serviced, and includes the original accessories or proven provenance, the premium is easier to justify; otherwise, a buyer should expect to negotiate hard or wait for a better-priced example.
