Seller's Description

The Silver Oval Two Speaker Cable is meticulously constructed using the hollow oval design. This cable is made by layering pure silver over a stabilizer strand of high-purity OFC copper, which is then woven into a 12-gauge hollow oval conductor and then surrounded by another 12-gauge hollow oval conductor. The cable is especially open and detailed, but without the harshness often associated with silver cables. The Silver Oval 2 cable is then combined with a computer matched dielectric and is shielded against MVI and other interference for ultra-quiet, noise-free performance. Instruments emerge out of a silent background. Depth and detail are exquisite.

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

At USD $449 for a used 6 ft pair, this is a fair-to-slightly-ambitious ask. New Silver Oval 2 cables in this length typically retail around USD $400–$600 depending on termination type and configuration, so a used pair at this price point sits near the top of the secondary market. You'd expect to find comparable used pairs in the USD $300–$425 range, making this listing perhaps 10–15% above typical used pricing. That said, the Silver Oval 2 holds value well—it's a genuinely capable cable with no major obsolescence concerns, so the premium isn't unreasonable if the pair is in clean condition.

Before committing, verify the termination type (banana or spade connectors) matches your amp and speaker binding posts, and confirm both cables are original Analysis Plus stock with matching connectors and shielding intact. Check for any kinks, corrosion on the connectors, or discoloration in the jacket—silver-plated conductors can show oxidation if stored poorly, though this rarely affects performance. Ask the seller for photos of both ends and confirmation that the pair hasn't been cut or re-terminated, since any modification will tank resale value.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
