Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Condition isn’t stated, but at US$1,999 this is very ambitious for a used CC5. Aerial’s current list price is US$3,995 new, and solid used examples typically land well below that; unless this is mint, fully boxed, and with hard-to-find matching finish, it’s priced above what most center-channel buyers would call comfortable.

That said, the CC5 is a genuinely respected center: clean midrange, excellent dialogue intelligibility, and the sort of tonal consistency that makes it a strong match for Aerial mains. If the cabinet, drivers, and grille are pristine and the seller can confirm proper operation, it’s a worthwhile piece for a serious Aerial system—but at this number, I’d want exceptional condition and complete accessories to justify it.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Aerial Acoustics

Aerial Acoustics traces its roots to 1989, when music enthusiasts Michael Kelly and David Marshall, former engineers at a/d/s, left to pursue their vision of superior loudspeakers. Kelly, armed with a Master’s from MIT’s Sloan School, formally incorporated the company in 1991 in the suburbs north of Boston, Massachusetts. Their debut Model 10T floorstander, featuring a pioneering cast-in-house Novalith stone head and Kevlar midrange, quickly captured audiophile acclaim and financed further growth, embodying New England’s artisan heritage of meticulous craftsmanship.

The brand focuses exclusively on high-performance loudspeakers, spanning floorstanders, bookshelves, on-wall designs, and home theater systems. Every model integrates state-of-the-art custom drivers, advanced crossovers, and furniture-grade cabinets, all designed and hand-built in their American facility. Standouts include the award-winning 20T V2, along with recent favorites like the 6T and 7T, prioritizing acoustic precision over diversification into amplifiers, DACs, or cables.

Positioned as a boutique high-end contender, Aerial Acoustics delivers concert-hall realism and build quality rivaling pricier rivals, with pairs like the 5T bookshelves starting around $3,800. Dealers praise its unwavering support for legacy products, fostering loyalty among discerning buyers who value made-in-USA excellence and understated elegance in a market dominated by imports.
